Financial Assistance
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
At ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Children's, we want to help you any way we can, including assisting you in the financial aspects of your child’s care. We want to make this part of the process easier, so you can focus on more important things — like helping your child feel better.
We have financial counselors on-site to help you:
- Design an interest-free payment plan you can afford
- Identify and apply for available state and federal assistance, like the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
- Apply for funds through ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Financial Assistance Program
- Determine Medicaid eligibility and assist with Medicaid enrollment
ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Financial Assistance Program
If you can’t afford private health insurance, and you don’t qualify for state or federal government health care programs, you might be eligible for ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½-funded financial assistance. It’s our policy to provide care, either at a discounted rate or at no charge, for those patients who participate in the ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Financial Assistance Program (NFAP). NFAP plan not only applies to hospital charges, but also applies to physician services as well.
Program Eligibility and Application Guidelines
The ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ Financial Assistance Program (NFAP) is based on income level and other circumstances. Families must apply for all applicable state and/or federal aid programs before qualifying for the NFAP.
If a family receives a discount through NFAP, the discounted rate (percentage) the family receives is applied to total gross charges. Failure to make scheduled payments may result in disqualification from NFAP. Families must recertify their participation in NFAP annually.

ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ offers several financial assistance programs — some apply to specific medical conditions, others discount or lower the cost of ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ medical services. ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ financial counselors will be able to help guide you through the application process.
Medicaid Enrollment
Medicaid is the largest health insurer in the United States, providing coverage for a full range of medical services for eligible children and families. Each state determines its own benefit packages and eligibility requirements based on the state’s needs and federal guidelines.
Medicaid provides all medically necessary care for children including primary, specialty and emergent care.
This includes:
- Doctor visits
- Hospital visits
- Well-baby visits
- Well-child visits and treatments
- Immunizations
- Dental care
Your ÀÖ²¥´«Ã½ financial counselor will give you more information, and can help you enroll in Medicaid.
